NORTH NARRABEEN, Australia (Tuesday, January 6, 2009) – Men’s action continues at the Billabong ASP World Junior Championships with Round 3 commencing in clean three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves at Sydney’s North Narrabeen Beach this morning at 7:30am.

Yesterday’s high-scoring action saw the elimination of 16 of the world’s best juniors in their respective campaigns for the undisputed ASP World Junior Title, and today’s competition promises more of the same dramatic action with the men’s Round 3 up first with the women’s Quarterfinals on standby.

“We have the best day of surf yet today with south winds and three-to-four foot waves pulsing through Narrabeen and we’ll get underway with the men’s Round 3 at 7:30am,” Al Hunt, ASP Tour Manager, said. “We plan on completing all 16 heats of Round 3 with the women’s Quarterfinals on standby for a possible run this afternoon.”

Up first will be last year’s Billabong ASP World Juniors runner-up Tonino Benson (HAW), 19, up against a red-hot Tamaroa McComb (PYF), 16.
